What do you Reckon of the Saints Row OST?

Saints Row OST

This is probably the longest soundtrack list we’ve ever laid eyes on. I am quite ashamed that I know so few of the artists that were listed on the list. Given that Saints Row revolves around a very urban environment, it is not surprising to see a bulk of the tracks to be from the hip-hop and rap genre. There are a few rock cuts that lost their way in the crowd like Iggy Pop’s Wild America, Mountain Song by Jane’s Addiction and Of All The Gin Joints In All The World by Fall Out Boy. Iggy Pop and Jane’s Addiction I can understand, but Fall Out Boy? I personally like the band, but really now.

The only familiar names to me, when it comes to the rap genre are the almost mainstream ones like Ghostface, Raekwon, the legendary Wu Tang Clan and the world’s fastest rapper by the Guinness Book of Records in 1992, Twista. We now all know how the gameplay of Saints Row goes: Basically, you try to exist in a dog-eat-dog gangstar world while trying to get your ‘props’ pursuing a crime-oriented career within the streets of a violence-prone city. Hoping to boost this ‘gangster feel’, a list of gang-themed music was compiled to be merged in the game’s virtual environment.

The list awaits after the jump!
