Wii on Teen Vogue is uber geek chic

Teen Vogue gone geeky? - Image 1It seems that the Wii is getting so popular, it finally managed to get itself on the pages of Teen Vogue. Now that’s what we mean by being a geek chic! Now, this author’s gamer-girl/geek habits won’t be criticized as belonging to the lower rungs of the social ladder anymore. Wii getting itself on your #1 source for dating boys (real ones, and not those made up of pixel dots), is a small step for Nintendo‘s next-gen console and a giant leap for geeks everywhere. Be still, my beating heart…

Aside from promoting the use of Wii for good health and a tool of bonding with girlfriends, Teen Vogue came up with a shirt that says “Oui, Wii” which it cutely calls “Wii Tee”. I love the shirt, but the thought of non-gamers wearing this same article of clothing on their “super-cool” soirees just doesn’t seem so fair for my tastes. But then again, that’s just me.

Anyway, this might be a good way of promoting Wii to the rest of the population. What’s next? Men are for the Xbox 360, women are for the Wii?
