Wii Still Nicknamed Nintendo Revolution
It’s been more than three months since Nintendo renamed it’s “Revolution” console to Wii. There have been mixed reactions to the new name, but everyone had to adjust – and we’re talking about a huge number of game sites and fan sites that had to register new domain names just to reflect the said change. By now, we’d think any reference to “Revolution” had been banished.
Well, it was silly of us to assume that, because apparently not everyone has updated their sites. And it’s very surprising that Nintendo of America is guilty of it. If you log on to Nintendo.com and go to the “Email Communications” area in your “My Profile” page, you’d see that the newsletter is still being referred to as “Nintendo Revolution Newsletter”. Check out the screenshot posted in Go Nintendo courtesy of a reader who goes by the name of Jason.
This is not a big deal, really, but perhaps it’s one way of telling Nintendo to start updating their mailing list features. Surely, they don’t want some people thinking that Wii will be changed back to Revolution, do they?
