Wii Up for Grabs at Gamestation Before the Holidays
The big “Wii events” just ended a couple of days ago, and the Tokyo Game Show is just around the corner. Both developers and avid consumers are girding up their loins for updates on games, and more importantly, on the next-gen consoles. It gets more interesting as launch details have been announced on both the Wii and the PS3, and many are hankering for more info.
But if you’re a die-hard gaming fan, you just don’t want more info. You want those highly-anticipated next-gen consoles in your hands before the holidays kick in, minus the one-week camp-out outside retailers that will carry the PS3 and the Wii.
One such retailer is Gamestation. Although details are scant on the PS3, we sure know that this store will carry the Wii bundled with Wii Sports on the 12th of December, for a price tag of £179.99. Of course, they will also be carrying various games as well, such as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and the samurai first-person shooter, Red Steel. And it seems that even the guys over at Gamestation are excited about it: “Anticipation is building and the Wii is going to fly off the shelves so we are urging gamers to pre-order at their nearest Gamestation store or online,” says Martyn Gibbs, Commercial Director of Gamestation.
Sounds cool, but let’s not hope that they don’t play the games before we do.
