Wii-dedicated Yahoo site online now
Nintendo indeed claimed that majority of its campaign will be done online. Search engines being filled with advertisements and other Wii-related materials was of course, expected. It came as a surprise to us, however, the moment we found out the console is having its own Yahoo website. We could only utter, Wow, wow, wii.. Nintendo is really bringing it on.
The site which can be found here is consistent with the whole Nintendo marketing campaign, starting with the light blue cool-to-the-eyes color scheme to its rather laid back, relaxed and happy feel. The home page focuses on pertinent matters. There’s the Wii explained where a full lowdown of the console is discussed, featured games, international news concerning Wii and Yahoo answers to fans FAQs.
Also, there’s a special portion of the site completely dedicated to games and the growing community. A countdown clock is also being hosted and as of this writing, just 17 days, 6 hours and roughly 30 minutes remain until launch.
Oh, heck. We don’t know why we’re giving you a full account of their site. Maybe it just proves we really are surprised by this development. In case you visit their site, please come back here and tell us what you think.
