WiiKey upgrade on the way, won’t block clones
A lot of cheap modchip“>WiiKey clones have been coming out lately, and this has led to concerns over whether or not the group behind the original WiiKey would be releasing new upgrades. Well, if you have a WiiKey or even a WiiKey clone, here’s some good news for you. The official WiiKey website has been updated with the following announcement:
The upgrade is now near completion. It has been delayed due to a few factors; the base system disc took longer than expected to complete, and there have been a few unexpected issues that are currently being worked on.
The “unexpected issues” apparently have nothing to do with making the update incompatible with WiiKey clones. The dev team behind the WiiKey modchip also announced that they “do not intend to brick or render clones inoperable.”
