Will each Wii game have its own friend code?
The Wii console’s friend system was made easy with a single friend code. When we reported on this single friend code system back in October, many of our readers were pleased to hear that the friend code system will be relatively easy to use as you won’t have to remember loads of different friend codes.
Then, Pokemon Battle Revolution went into Japanese stores last week as the Wii’s first online title, and it has a surprise for Wii owners in the form of a new twelve digit friend code and a new friend list.
The problem is you cannot send friend codes over the Wii online system, meaning you actually have to exchange your 12-digit friend codes in real life. Surely this will inhibit your ability to make friends online – maybe you have to give out your e-mail address to a stranger in order to add them as a friend.
Surely Nintendo has noticed that this is a bit of a problem and is working on having a single friend code system?
