Square Enix, publisher of Final Fantasy XI (PC, Xbox 360), has already announced that the Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will be shipped on November 20. Square Enix also notified Final Fantasy XI players about a required update and a preparatory service maintenance for the expansion.
Square Enix further clarified that the FFXI version update is needed due to the number of new features in the Wings of the Goddess expansion. FFXI Players need not worry, however, as Square Enix’s update will not interrupt gameplay as its program runs. No service maintenance will be conducted during the time of the update itself. The actual preparatory service maintenance is scheduled for November 19, 2007 PST, while the update is scheduled for November 13.
According to Square Enix, the new features of the Wings of the Goddess expansion will be made available to players sometime on November 21, 2007. Also, Square Enix instructed players to check the Information section on the official Final Fantasy XI website from time to time for additional announcements regarding the preparatory server maintenance.
