WoW players (still) stiffed on The Consortium rewards

Players over at the World of Warcraft official forums are not happy….at least with regard to The Consortium. We reported earlier that there was a bug on the reward players would receive from The Consortium – an Outlands-based group of smugglers/traders/thieves that would grant gems on a monthly basis to players who could finish their quest.

Going into specifics, people at the forums report that they had already finished the “Membership Benefit” quest a couple of months ago, but were yet to receive any of the promised monthly gems. The good news is that this time around, Blizzard has sent out an official announcement. As for the bad news, according to Blizzard spokesman Berghe:

Folks, I regret to say there is an issue with the Gems being acquired by players that have completed the proper quests of the Consortium faction. The developers are aware of this and it will be resolved in a future patch.

There you have it. Looks like guys already [Friendly] with the traders over at the Stormspire will just have to wait a little longer until they get their rewards. If you’re one of the hopefuls waiting for your share of this monthly perk, wait up for further announcements, and read up on the new section coming up for Blizzard’s WoW site.
