X06: Assassin’s Creed onstage demo shaky-cam vid

Ok, so early last September, Jade Raymond, producer of Ubisoft‘s much awaited game, Assassin’s Creed, officially confirmed that it will be coming to the Xbox 360. Since then we’ve been giving you a whole bunch of screens, gameplay info, and even a storyline diary video.

This video may seem a bit late but we all know you want to see Jade Raymond at X06 presenting the game. Here you’ll see that it’s going to be your job to sneak through a crowd, get past ten to twenty guards, and stab someone to death (if you feel a bit too lazy to strangle him silently in the shadows).

Given what’s in the video, it would seem that Ubisoft has kept some of the Prince’s (from Prince of Persia) movement animation. This is especially noticeable when the Assassin jumps, clings from the edges of walls, or slides down ladders. The animation when riding a horse seems like it was taken straight from Shadow of the Colossus, only this time it’s much prettier. What promises to be amusingly entertaining is the animation that you get when you shove people around. They just look so… umm, helpless.
