According to it, the Xbox 360 is almost dead in Australia due to competition among many other things. Cidade’s statements after the jump!

One retailer even went on record and said that Microsoft’s console is dead. However, all these statements were countered by Microsoft Australia PR Manager of the Entertainment & Devices Division Mariana Cidade.

The official explained that they are actually in a good shape for this year:

We are happy with where we are in the market right now. WeÂ’re significantly ahead of where we planned to be this financial year, and selling well both on the software and hardware side.

Focusing on the software side of things, Cidade added that this year is going to be big for Microsoft Australia. Aside from yet-to-be revealed big titles, the public relations manager provided this list of games:

When asked to comment on what the above mentioned retailer said, Mariana Cidade commented that they are actually enjoying a large base of retailer support. “Our retailers are excited about our current and upcoming offers,” she added.
