Xbox 360 Lawsuit from an individual

The Xbox 360 isn’t new to getting lawsuits and filing countersuits. Earlier reports have mentioned Lucent’s lawsuit against Microsoft for breach of patent and MS being MS didn’t back off from that issue and filed their countersuit againts Lucent. Well, lawsuits and all are just part of business, it is something that is inevitable. And with that, the Xbox 360 and MS, may face another one of this again, this time, it is not from a company but from an individual.

Chaosdude78 wrote to us about his personal intension of firing a lawsuit against MS. In his letter, he said “I will soon possibly be putting Microsoft face to face with legal action over the Xbox 360 console. I ask that all others that had/are having problems contact me so I may complete a list to file a lawsuit against the company. You may read the story (PT 1) for my story and information.” The guy is pretty ticked off with MS’ Xbox 360 basing from what he shared to us.

So just why in the world is he suing, apparently, he bought an Xbox 360 in early January of this year and it worked fine for quite some time (a few weeks according to him), but suddenly, it began to crash about 10 minutes into any game. Just like any consumer, he called the Xbox 360 customer support line and told them of the problem and the console was fixed and a replacement was sent.

Another week has passed, the replacement crashed again, so he called again, received another one which he said took three weeks to arrive. When the replacement for the replacement arrived, he said that it had the same problem and that the console was cracked at the seam where the shell of the console connects in the back.
