X-Flash v16g

X-Flash

With Dark_AleX‘s latest 2.71 SE-C release, we’re bound to have an influx of new/changed/modified/improved homebrew games/apps/emus. And when it comes to updating their homebrew, Art is pretty much a solid staple in the community and a dedicated programmer to his work. He’s now released X-Flash v16g which now allows the program to start under SE-C.

The core of the program itself hasn’t been changed. You’d still be able to perform all kinds of tweaks and modifications to your PSP firmware: custom XMB menu, alternate sound effects, etc. However, this version now has dual firmware support. He’s stated that his program runs on 1.50 and 2.71 SE, and behaves accordingly when the PSP FW version is auto-detected at start-up.

Here’s the full changelog for X-Flash V16g:

  • Added support for firmware version 2.71 SE-C.
  • Fixed parental control feature, as the parental control level was previously ignored by X-Flash when running under 2.71 SE.
  • Startup checking is significantly faster with all supported firmware versions, so the user enters the menu faster from program launch.

Now for those of you who might’ve been living under the proverbial rock (or brick) and aren’t quite familiar with this program, we advise you to take a look at the readme file. Everything is there.
