X-Flash v18h: comes with 3.03 OE support

It's 18h!

Art has released X-Flash v18h, and fans of the custom firmware we like to call “3.03 Oh Yeah!” will be pleased at this latest version. The most notable addition to the X-Flash changelog has to be that v18h supports 3.03 OE-A, which means that custom users can mess around with their PSP just like they used to before they made the switch. Good times.

In any case, we’ll be adding the changelog below. Be sure to check the readme and Art’s X-Flash page for instructions on installing and using it, and be careful with this. Since it writes to flash, it’s also got a chance to brick your PSP. Art won’t be able to answer your questions for a day or two (he’s going camping), so if you’re a newcomer to homebrew, you may want to think about reading up on this app first. Enjoy the download!

Changes for X-Flash v18h:

  • Added support for Dark_Alex 3.03 OE.
  • Adjustment to topmenu_plugin.rco flasher to allow copy of decrypted 2.50 file to 2.71 SE installation.
  • The XMB Menu Editor is unlocked for 2.71 SE once the correct file is copied.
  • Program termination occurs if a mismatching registry version is found since the parental control setting will not be readable.
  • Added option to permanently remove Network Update functionality for the current firmware installation. This frees up a little flash space. Menu options reguarding Network Update are auto disabled if the above option is used.
  • Fix to Auto Restore routine. Auto restore previously only restored original menu labels for 1.50.
  • Added option to restore original XMB menu icons if a file with custom icons is being used with 2.71 SE or 3.02 OE.
  • Small fixes including firmware version specific dialogue in footer, and updated built in readme file.

Thanks to Bongoben, ~maniac~, aDcOoL, El Guayaco, and EvilSeph for all racing to send us the info.
