Let’s say you’re one of those people who doesn’t actually check forums and posts a lot. Maybe you just bought a copy of the game today. Perhaps you’re thinking of waiting a month to go try the World of Warcraft expansion so other people can endure whatever bugs Blizzard‘s left after making the game. If that’s the case, then you are not prepared.
Well, Mithan of IGN’s World of Warcraft Vault wants you to be prepared. Even if you aren’t playing The Burning Crusade yet, he’s placed a bunch of reminders for TBC newcomers once you pick up that shiny, green, expansion box.
Some highlights? For starters, you’re going to be soloing certain parts of it again, so you’ll want to lessen your downtime. You can speed up post-fight maintenance with bandages, but to get the best bang for your buck, save around 120 pieces of Runecloth to make Heavy Runecloth Bandages till you hit 330. Then visit the Temple of Telhamut or Falcon Crest to buy the Alliance and Horde manuals, respectively.
Second is pathfinding. Upon exiting the Outlands side of the Dark Portal, go left or right (Alliance and Horde respectively) to find the first flight masters in the Outlands. They’ll take you to the starting cities for your faction if you follow the questline for from the Blasted Lands side of the Portal.
He gives many more tips, from how much gold you’ll need to amass, to the usefulness of PvP versus PvE grinding for stronger goods. Feel free to check the read link for more, and if you have your own tips, let us know. We’ll be glad to post a QJ list of tips of TBC as well.
