Zelda Reorchestrated no more

ZREO or Zelda Reorchestrated was a group of individuals who were hoping to transcribe music – using MIDI files found online  as guides – into orchestral form. Now, I say was, because despite it’s rebirth a month ago, QJ reader Antwhan alerts us that the site is now down… again. Below is a note from the site:

I have some very sad, important news. Due to highly unforeseeable circumstances, the Zelda Reorchestrated project must come to an immediate halt, and subsequent termination. I cannot divulge into the specifics, in fact I will remain silent on them, not to skew facts more than they already are.

The project will end with total dignity. I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the entire Zelda Community, and more specifically, the Z.R.E.O. Community. I would like to that those of you who have stuck by me, week after week, pitfall after pitfall. I would like to thanks members of my team, and I will talk to them in private. Most importantly, I would like to thank everyone who has donated. Know that your donations will not be used in vein.

I plan to leave this website up as a dedication to the project, and all of the contributions made thus far will be used to pay for the hosting, and domain renewals, keeping the page itself active. The Z.R.E.O. Section of the HTLOZ forums will be deleted, and any flaming, spamming, or troll attacking on the HTLOZ forum will result in perm. bans.

The saddest part of this farewell, is that we were less than 16 tracks away from completing the ProjectÂ’s initial goal, the re orchestration of the Ocarina of Time Soundtrack. Sadly, we will never see its completion.

You will hear many reasons why the projects ultimate demise has come. Believe what you wish. All I can say is, please get the facts right before you accuse anyone, of anything. These are my final words as acting project leader. The project will not continue under any other leader. Goodbye forever to the Zelda Community.

Sad isn’t it?
