Zx-81, creator of the PSPVBA Gameboy Advance emulator, has opted to stop maintaining and upgrading the PSPVBA. With the advance of new techniques in making the game ports for the PSP, it probably had to come at one time or another. To those people who know him well through his emulator, as well as his fans, he says,
Exophase has released a new full speed GBA emulator for the PSP with awesome performances!
PSPVBA will never reach full speed, since it used classical software emulation technics, that can’t be compared to JIT (Just In Time) recompiler based emulators…
PSPVBA is dead, long life to Gameplay PSP (gPSP, the new GBA emu), and i have to say that I’m really impressed by the work of Exophase, and I’m waiting for new releases!
Whether or not we can persuade him to keep his software, we’ll never know, but at the very least, give him a vote of confidence as well as well-wishing.
