Flashback to 1994 and go bananas with your Donkey Kong Country memories. For an SNES-kid (like myself), you’d surely hit a bunch of happy memories. With the DKC platformer game being one of the first to have pre-rendered 3D graphics (whoa, revolutionary at that time), it was a sure hit – not to mention giving me and my brother a lot of sleepless nights. Yeah, it was cool like that.
Lo and behold, the whole gang is back. DK and Diddy, Rambi, Squawks, Engarde, and the rest of your jungle friends. Above is the video of the very first stage of the game: Jungle Hijinks. As I’m running through it, I can’t believe how much I’ve missed the game. All the bananas, balloons, and K-O-N-G coins to collect. All the secret barrels, caves, and stages. What, what!
