Battlefield: Bad Company teaser video

If you’re interested in war games where you get to fight for honor and glory (and all those high-falluting words associated with heroism) and play the messianic role of saving your homeland, Battlefield: Bad Company isn’t the game for you. Why? ‘Coz you’ll be fighting for wealth and vengeance, that’s why.

So if you’re looking for a fresh change from all the other war-themed FPS games out there, the comically twisted DICE-developed game from EA is right on the money. Don’t get us wrong, this game packs in all the warfare action and bloodshed you’d want, but viewed from a different angle. Along with the 90% destructible game environments and the new Ironsight aiming mode, the juxtaposition of dark humor and a serious war situation makes Bad Company all the more interesting.

Powered by DICE’s Frostbite Engine, there’s no officially confirmed release date yet (for either the PS3 or Xbox360 version) for this baby but if the rumored August 1 release date holds true, we can only expect a better end product (and more sneak peeks) to come our way soon. Kudos to Hummer for the heads up!
