Crush: Ain’t no puppy love in here

Hopefully, he ain't suicidal yet - Image 1

So you wake up one morning and realizes that pretty much, everything in your life is a mess. With emotional baggage big enough to pin you down to the Earth’s core, you never have enough decent sleep and you’re just way too exhausted to rev up your life again back on the right lane. And as it seems as if there’s no other option left , you turn to hypnosis in the hopes of finding a cure for your miserable present state by trying to undo whatever wrongs there may have been in your past.

This is the story you will confront in Kuju Brighton’s PSP title, Crush. The storyline certainly does appear to be melancholic and a good precedent to a cuckoo ward scene. But apart from the emo-boohoo tag to it, Crush promises to be an exciting and challenging game. The description of the game gives a trippy impression, too.

It’s set in a complex, hypnotic 3D world, which you can “Crush” to form simple 2D platforms. There will be secrets to unlock, and obstacles to win over. Says Ed Daly, head of Kuju Brighton Studio,

The studio’s strategy is to develop games that appeal to new audiences. We believe that Crush will appeal to PSP owners who prefer a real and cerebral challenge to mindless action. This game comes from a core idea we have had for a while and we are delighted to be making it a reality with Sega.

Yep, you read it right. Sega Europe Ltd. will be in on the action, too. So watch out for this game and keep it posted here for more updates. The game is set to be released this year. But in the meantime, you can enjoy some more screenshots after the jump.
