Def Jam: Fight for New York-The Takeover Preview

Critically acclaimed Def Jam: Fight for New York was actually quite good, and was considered a huge smash hit for the PS2 and Xbox back in 2004. It features over 30 real world rappers and hip-hop artists, executing great fighting moves along with cool customization and great soundtrack.

Fast-Forward to present time and EA Games is now reviving the same game to the PSP. They are adding two player and ad-hoc multiplayer modes, a whole new storyline, four new venues, an unmentioned new character, and all new environmental hot spots. Not only that, developers have introduced a very much needed camera fix-up that brings the action up close. Over 180 different maneuvers (including some awesome ground moves) are also now available for you to smack your opponent around with.

EA also made some changes on the original one-two-three knockdown combo. With the previous version, a simple three-hit combo would knock the opponent out, now it has been modified and the same attack would only make the character stumble or fall back, making the game more challenging to more mature gamers.

Rated M for Mature, Def Jam: Fight for New York-The Takeover is scheduled to be released on June 20 for PSP system. Meanwhile, here are twelve screenshots for you to look at to minimize (or multiply) your craving.
