Funcom product manager Erling Ellingsen recently waded into the decidedly hostile waters of the Age of Conan forums to answer some issues brought up by the playerbase in the wake of a recent interview he did with MMORPG.com. First off, he cleared up the WoWAoC comparison:

Age of Conan is not comparable to World of Warcraft‘s amount of high level content as World of Warcraft stands today. Remember that game has had 3-4 years to mature and evolve […] so we really can’t compete with that at this point in time. That’s no secret at all. World of Warcraft didn’t have anything near the amount of high level content at launch as they have now.

Along with the answers came reveals. Ymir’s Pass is “just about done” and it’s only a matter of testing before it goes live. Drunken brawling, one of the big things cut from the game before launch, will also be added along with other promised features and content once Funcom finishes dealing with “more important issues”. The Xbox 360 version is also still on.

And, surpisingly enough, Ellingsen also said that the highly-publicized 1500 armor sets are indeed in the game. Thing is, distribution problems make it seem like the figure was just a baseless boast. The item team is reportedly putting a lot of work into this, though, so hopefully we get to see all of these armor sets soon.
