Famitsu Weekly Most Wanted: Halo 3 in the list

Sup, Japan? - Image 1Famitsu’s weekly most wanted chart is here again, with most titles just sticking around and vying for the top. Somewhat a good news for Xbox 360 though: Halo 3 got in at the 20th spot. Other than that, only 2 other games are in for Microsoft – both RPGs.

More than half of the list are pretty much RPGs or Action or both, showing that Japan’s taste is really different from the west. The phenomenal series’ upcoming entry, Dragon Quest IX, is still strong on top with Final Fantasy XIII coming a close second. Top 5 pretty much doesn’t change, with SE and Capcom having a couple of entries while Konami‘s got its much awaited MGS4.

Despite losing badly in the console sale race against the Wii, the PS3’s got the most anticipated titles. Xbox 360 and DS are on fair standing, while PSP and PS2 got a title each to further Sony‘s domination on the list. Will Sony make a comeback in Japan? Doesn’t sound too farfetched of an idea.
