Jack Thompson may be disbarred, but he’s not about to go off without the final word. Thompson has coughed up the US$ 42,525.27 he owes the court, complete with an email to make sure the Bar knew he already sent it.

As a minor update to his disbarment, Thompson has coughed up the US$ 42,525.27 he owes the court, which represents the legal fees that were used to prosecute him. The fees totaled up to US$ 43,675.35 but was reduced by the Bar to its current amount.

Not satisfied with just handing in the check, Thompson made sure they knew he already sent it:

Dear Chief Justice Quince:

Please advise today what you and the Court have done with my check for $42,525.27 that was sent you on November 6 to be held in trust by the Supreme Court.

I find today, in talking with my bank, that the check has not been negotiated. IÂ’m not paying any interest on this amount. You all had it from me on the date it was due.
