However, many awaiting fans were a tad disappointed to find that Nintendo did not bring it for their E3 presentation. Well, according to Miyamoto, they had a darned good reason for it.

Basically, Miyamoto said at a panel in E3 earlier this evening that when they do present Pikmin to the public, he wants it to be the star, nothing else. And of course, given all the hooplas surrounding all the E3 announcements, it’s fairly easy to understand why they felt that Pikmin will just be looked over. There was a lot of “other stuff here that may have stolen its thunder,” he said.

“Rest assured, we are making Pikmin,” reiterated Miyamoto.

If that’s his stance, maybe they do have something big in store for us via Pikmin. To have all eyes on it alone must be one heck of show, after all.
