New Saints Row Screenshots

Now that THQ‘s third-person, open-world action/driving game Saints Row has received an August 29 release date, all that’s left to do is wait. That, or you can view the new screenshots that’ll surely get you all revved up for the game.

Saints Row features a freeform gameplay that offers increased choices. This means you can take an item and pay for it like a good citizen, or you can rob a cashier at gunpoint and run away with the money. A full-scale robbery is also an option.

The game offers a fully dynamically lit world as seen on car headlights and muzzle flashes, not to mention vehicle explosions. Ragdoll physics allow for real-time reactions of the game characters and objects to impacts. Even the lowly pedestrians will react to your actions and recognize you.
