Nintendo trademarks “Zii” in Japan

Nintendo was spotted filing another trademark recently, and the new name does invite a little more curiosity than the usual filing. That name is “Zii” and its reminiscence of the current Nintendo console makes things interesting. Care to play a little guessing game again?

 

 

 

 

Nintendo was spotted filing another trademark recently, and the new name does invite a little more curiosity than the usual filing. That name is “Zii” and its reminiscence of the current Nintendo console makes things interesting. Care to play a little guessing game again?

 

Filed October 30, 2009, the trademark was released yesterday in Japan. Zii is supposed to be used for electronic devices and video games. That said, are we looking at the name of the Wii HD? Or are we looking at yet another Wii peripheral?
