Don’t think Michael Pachter will stay in the background while all these gaming news are coming out. For his piece this weekend, he gives out his opinion that PlayStation Plus will be pulling in some 1 million subscribers by the end of 2010.
“I think that every enhancement to PlayStation Network going forward is going to be for PlayStation Plus so they’re always going to give you basic online gameplay,” he said in the latest episode of Gametrailers’ The Bonus Round.
“I think when they start adding tournaments and new types of achievement systems it’s going to be for PlayStation Plus members only and they’ll get a very slow migration over to the US$ 50 a year (UK£ 39.99 in the UK).”
“I think PlayStation Plus will work. You’ll get one million subscribers this year, two million next year, three million the next year and it’ll just slowly build.”
You can start joining the 1 million PlayStation Plus crowd when it launches on June 29, 2010.
