Can it be true? No more Oblivion for the PSP? - Image 1Here’s a bit of bad news for those of you expecting to play Bethesda‘s The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion on the PlayStation Portable. Word from Kotaku has it that some of the people from Gamestop have reported that the company will be dropping any plans of continuing the handheld RPG adaptation of the PC hit.

The game was originally slated to be released last Spring, but its release date was pushed back and forth several times since then. Taking a look at the current list of available games on Gamestop’s online store, it was confirmed that the PSP version of Oblivion has already been removed.

There has been no official word from Bethesda Softworks, nor from Climax’s Portsmouth team, who are working on the game’s development.

However, we are hopeful that we still might have a chance of seeing this great series having a PSP release, even if it won’t be any time soon. Let’s all cross our fingers and hope for the best then.
