SCEE denies Gran Turismo 5 Prologue pricing rumors

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has moved quickly to quash rumors that the Blu-ray version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will carry a 45 Euro price tag when it launches in Europe.

IGN reports that apart from denying the rumored 45 Euro price point, a spokesperson from SCEE has stated that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue won’t be free. According to the SCEE spokesperson, prices for both the Blu-ray and PlayStation Network versions of the game have yet to be agreed upon.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is, as the name suggests, a teaser for Polyphony Digital‘s upcoming PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 5. The game features 50 cars, 5 tracks and 16-player online multiplayer support. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is currently scheduled for a European release later this year.
