Sonic and the Secret Rings info from Games Master

We know most of you guys are just itching to get your hands on Sonic and the Secret Rings already, and hey, we’re right there with you. But since we won’t be able to grab a copy until the game hits the shelves next month, wouldn’t you like to know more about what secrets we’ll uncover once we get our filthy hands on the game? Hmmm?

Yeah, thought so. Which is why we decided to share with you a tip-off from a generous Go Nintendo reader regarding some game details he got from the latest issue of Games Master. Here’s a rundown of the details he found:

  • Ten levels with ten missions each (such as stealth attack, rampage, chain challenge, beat the clock, and tons more), so basically you could think of it as more like 100 levels, yey! Five of those levels are the following:
    • Sand Oasis
    • Dinosaur Jungle
    • Evil Foundry
    • Levitated Ruin
    • Pirate Storm
  • Sonic now has around 100 customizable skills that he can learn. These skills range from moves to special abilities. Sonic holds four rings that allow for 500 points worth (each) of skills. Experience points are earned through the main game.
  • There’s this one new move that can slow down time through a soul meter. This move is much like the speed-up move we saw in trailers, only it has the opposite effect on time.
  • 40 multiplayer games

As mentioned, this info came from the latest issue of Games Master, so if you wanna score more details (and some screens), we suggest you grab a copy at your nearest newsstand.
