Super Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games’ release to coincide?

A Gamefaqs posting show both Super Mario Galaxy and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games having the same release date in Europe. If this is the case, wouldn’t this be disadvantageous to both games (in terms of initial sales) considering some Wii owners might only be able to afford one of the two at launch?

Other sites such as IGN haven’t listed the Europe release as of yet, so there’s no way of confirming this rumor. It also seems a bit strange since Nintendo has rarely, if ever, had simultaneous game releases. The company has a tendency to stagger the launch dates of their titles.

All things considered though, this may not be as bad as some would think. If a person wants to pick up both games but can only afford one at the moment, there’s nothing stopping him from picking up the other one up at a later date.
