tgaWave Custom Wave Texture Injector v0.5

tgaWave - Image 1

Homebrew coder Vulpix‘s tgaWave Custom Wave Texture Injector is one really nice and useful application. However, we found out that some of you seem to have had problems running it. To help solve the problem, Vulpix deemed it necessary to come up with a tutorial video as well as an updated version of tgaWave injector.

Anyway, the process is still the same. You will need an image editing program such as Photoshop and the wave’s texture can be edited by applying filters to your image. Also, here’s a new step by step instruction on using tgaWave Custom Wave Texture Injector v0.5:

  • Open system_plugin_bg_deflate_part2.tga in your favorite image editing program (Photoshop/GIMP/etc). Set the image mode to RGB color to edit.
  • Change the wave texture as desired by using filters in Photoshop or whatever. After you are done editing, you must set the image back to Indexed with the Local (selective) palette, and 252 colors.
  • Save the targa file with the same name as you opened it with.
  • Open the system_plugin_bg_deflate_part2.tga in a hex editor.
  • Delete the last 24 bytes.
  • Save the file, it should be 17172 bytes.
  • Run start.bat.
  • Put system_plugin_bg.rco that was created in /vsh/resource/
  • Done!
