TGS 2008 - Image 1Still wondering what happened inside Square Enix‘s closed theater? Wonder no more! We finally bagged more leaked footage of some of the trailers they showed in TGS. It’s a chunky 7-minute video stringing the trailers for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, KH: Birth by Sleep, and The 3rd Birthday together! Quick, before the YouTube buggers take it down!

Still wondering what happened inside Square Enix‘s closed theater? Wonder no more! We finally bagged more leaked footage of some of the trailers they showed in TGS – another lucky break brought to us by some YouTube user (in this case, it’s thanks to user weekid55 we get to see the trailers). Here are some of my notes after seeing the vid:

  • Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. Is that 4-player Wi-Fi gameplay I see? Sweet. There are also some cutscenes with some of the characters we’re familiar with. Axel, Roxas, Namine …and who’s that chick? dude? chick with the purple hair, you ask? That’s the fabled “14th member” of Organization XIII, Xion.
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. More cutscenes and gameplay. Lots of gameplay actually – the Cinderella world is even shown. We see combat sequences with the three playable characters Terra, Ven, and Aqua. Yes. Aqua. She’s playable. Maleficent is back, and Cinderella, Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty), and Snow White get some air time as well.
  • The 3rd Birthday. Aww, yeah. Gotta love that Parasite Eve theme in the background! Aya’s looking hot as usual. I’m not entirely sure if the guy shown in the trailer is Kyle Madigan – didn’t he lose his leg before? – so maaaybe it’s Kunihiko Maeda (the mitochondira guru/geek who made the special bullets with Aya’s DNA). Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t have gameplay clips – just cutscenes. Not that we’re complaining or anything.

Yes, the video might be off-cam and a bit low on quality, but it’s better than nothing. Besides, we’ll probably have to wait a while yet before the higher quality videos get officialy released by Square Enix. So before the YouTube buggers take it down… here it is: a 7-minute video stringing all three trailers for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, KH: Birth by Sleep, and The 3rd Birthday together!
