Toshiba’s HD-DVD Recorder Hits A Bad Groove
With a heavy heart, Toshiba announced the shipping of its RD-A1 HD DVD recorder will be delayed by two weeks. Something about not getting the spare parts for the product. Originally set for July 14 in Japan, RD-A1 ($3,460) will now launch on July 27. Still, Toshiba is optimistic it will meet its target of 10,000 units sold by the end of the year. The company did not say when the RD-A1 will be made available elsewhere.
