Yesterday, users have spotted people on their friends list playing “Halo 3: Epsilon” on Xbox Live. What does this mean? Well Epsilon is farther into the Greek Alphabet than “Beta,” so that’s like a dead giveaway.

Basically, after intensive game testing, spotting Halo 3: Epsilon on Xbox Live means that the game is closer than ever to its final version, if not already there. Some of the users were spotted playing the game on campaign mode, or watching a film.

Any bets on whether we see any more Halo 3 merchandise before the game finally comes out September 25?
