If they couldn’t quite support the PS3 as well as they liked back then, then having three devs from Naughty Dog would certainly point them to the right direction. PlayStation Lifestyle checked with some Valve LinkedIn profiles, and these three were found to be from Naughty Dog:

  • Vitaliy Genkin, former senior programmer, roles included “in-game-editor with PS3 run-time support” as well as “different tools for defining / processing / optimizing in-game data”.
  • Alex Vlachos, worked with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
  • Elan Ruskin, worked with the Jak & Daxter series

With those three in their team, Valve just got a substantial addition of PS3-talent into their arsenal. They’ve been there for a while now, but it’s still not clear if they have a PS3 project just yet. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for an update.
