Xbox Live Video Marketplace for Europe still pegged at TBA 2007

 

Following the success of the Xbox Live Video Marketplace in the U.S. last November, a lot of people outside the territory are wondering if the good graces of the Video Marketplace will ever be showered upon them.

If you’re here to find a definitive answer, we unfortunately cannot give you one. What we can provide you with, instead, is the hope that it will be coming to European shores. Of course, the catch is we just can’t tell you when. We’re just picking up from what Robin Burrows, Microsoft Xbox Live’s product manager for the UK and Ireland, said to 360Zine:

The answer is yes, it [Video Marketplace] will come to Europe. What I can’t talk about is when it will come over here. It is my personal goal to get this on the service as soon as physically we can do this. We hope to have some content that hits in 2007, but no promises at this current time.

Well the first half of the year is certainly coming to a close. So if Video Marketplace will indeed be coming to Europe by this year, then we only have several months to go, give or take a few, before the European gamers can have their fill of it, too, eh? We told you we’d bring you some hope — just not the Video Marketplace itself.
