2K Games: 2K Australia handling XCOM development

2K Games has released a little caveat regarding yesterday’s XCOM announcement. Technically speaking, 2K Marin isn’t the studio developing the game after all.

 

XCOM‘s development is actually being handled by 2K Australia, who also had a hand in BioShock and BioShock 2. Apparently, 2K Australia is now a “sister studio” under the 2K Marin banner and is considered “the Canberra, Australia arm of 2K Marin”.

 

That’s all 2K is saying about XCOM for now, but the rep who gave 1Up the explanation did note that they’ll “be talking about XCOM, the team and everything else in the near future.”
