2K Sports says Prizefighter screenshots were leaked

Remember the screenshots of Don King Presents: Prizefighter fellow blogger Glen D. hoisted up earlier? If you were surprised by their quality, be surprised no more. It appears that those screenshots were taken from a very early build of the game. Get the lowdown at the full story, straight from 2K Sports‘ PR staffer Lee Mokri.

2K Sports just let the word out that the first screenshots of the Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS) were actually from an earlier version of the game. In an email correspondence, press relations officer Lee Mokri of 2K Sports said that the screenshots were apparently “leaked” and that they were captured from “a very early build.”

It seems though that the first screenshots will be replaced soon by up-to-date versions, showing how much has improved since the unknown build. There was no definite day specified, though Mokri did state that the update will be done “shortly.”

It’s also likely that fans may be able to get up close and personal with Don King Presents: Prizefighter at the upcoming Game Developers Conference next month. Updates to come soon.
