4-story Donkey Kong rendered in Post-It pixels across UCSC building
In order to promote the Game Design major and UCSC Engineering in general, a team of students have banded together to decorate their Engineering 2 building in the UCSC campus. And in order to decorate, where did they draw their inspiration from? Donkey Kong, of course!
The classic arcade game from Nintendo where we first met the mustached Mario is now fully rendered in “pixelized” Post-Its across the four floors of the said campus building. Want numbers? Sure. What you see before you involves: around 6,400 Post-Its of different colors, the combined effort of 10 people, and a total time of 5 hours. The massive-scale “artwork” is currently up, and will be taken down (aaaw…) on or before May 1.
