Xbox 360 Rally retracts Sega TGS rumor
A rumor recently circulated containing a list of Sega‘s alleged line-up for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. The most striking detail in the post was that of Shenmue 3 coming out for the Xbox 360, but the bubble was pierced as the rumor was debunked.
James Walker of site Xbox 360 Rally later had the post taken down and retracted the earlier report. In a message posted in their site, he apologized to other blogs who picked the item up and promised that nothing of the sort will ever happen again.
“All those other sites who linked to this, all I can say to you guys is that I am sorry for this whole damn mess,” writes Walker. “I assure you that this will NOT happen again. I have to say, I applaud you guys for being right on top of this.”
Walker also explains in his message that the tip which sparked the buzz came from a fellow named Rob who has been consistently reliable for the past four years.
There has been no official word or response from Sega as of press time and news on the upcoming TGS has been scarce thus far. However, updates are expected to steadily flow in towards the coming weeks so keep it here for your fill of info.
