Media Create Japan software charts for March 31 to April 6
It seems like Capcom‘s Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is still flying high this week on the software sales chart in Japan according to Media Create. This week also sees several new titles to hit the top ten software list, bumping off many of the long standing games from the previous weeks. Five new titles have placed themselves on Media Create‘s top Japanese software titles for the week of March 31 to April 6 while Capcom‘s Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G once again claims the top spot with 480,000 copies sold during the past week.
The latest Monster Hunter title in the series proudly boasts a total of 1.3 million sales to date, successfully beating its previous iteration which took 14 months to reach the 1.6 million sales mark. As a result, sales for Sony’s PlayStation Portable went up again with over 100,000 units units sold, double that of the Nintendo DS.
Other notable titles for this week was the debut of Square Enix‘s Star Ocean: The Second Evolution, which entered the charts with more than 90,000 sold in the previous week alone. Here’s this week’s list of top software titles from Japan according to Media Create:
