Size limit for XBLA games now 2GB
Right before Xbox Live launched, Microsoft implemented strict rules for developers that if their games exceeded 50MB in size, it’s not gonna be put up for sale. That rule sure didn’t fly – a few years later (like, now) games can now weigh as much as 2GB.

Those who’ve been downloading games in Xbox Live should have noticed the size of the games. Shadow Complex, for instance, is almost at 1GB, and the Commander’s Challenge pack for Command and Conquer III toes the line at 2GB.
Scott Austin told IGN that 2GB is now the size limit – not because Microsoft is still imposing a size-limit rule, but because 2GB is a technical limitation of the system being used for XBLA.
