Sega unveils Virtua Tennis 3
In a pre-E3 press release, Sega Europe and Sega of America, Inc. have announced the next generation follow-up to one of the most beloved tennis games ever: Virtua Tennis 3.
To be released on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the game will turn to HDTV screens with incredible, photo-realistic graphics, advanced player animations matching the style of real life tennis stars. Even little details like facial expressions will be present in a huge variety.
But not only the visual side of things has received an overhaul – a new career mode, enhanced AI, new players as well as an improved player creation mode are going to ensure Virtua Tennis 3 will be a challenge like nothing before it.
Matt Woodley, creative director at SEGA says the game will be worth buying for the graphics alone – their quality being so high, “you can even see the veins on the players necks!”.
Virtua Tennis 3 is currently targeted for a Spring 2007 release.
