A Lovely Puppy (Kawaii Koinu) For the DS!
And the pet-mania continues! First it was Nintendogs, and then came Love Love Hamster and now we have A Lovely Puppy, aka Kawaii Koinu, for the Nintendo DS! The cuteness is just absolutely overwhelming.
Bound to be released in Japan this October, a player can select which puppy he or she wants to keep from 18 dog types, and there are also 50 coat types to choose from. As with any pet-type of game, you have to feed your puppy, play with it, take it for walks, pet it, take it to the vet, buy it a leash, and teach it tricks. You can even give it voice commands by talking into the mic.
The way that your puppy will act will depend on how you raise it, so if you don’t want your puppy to be too spoiled, you’ll have to teach it some discipline (but how can you not break down and give in to those beady eyes and that wagging tail?). Besides raising your pet, however, there are also lots of mini-games included. For example, your character’s mom sends you on an errand, or you can join a contest and win a prize or money that you can either trade in for something nice for your puppy, or you can give it to someone in order to achieve one of your current goals.
The 2D sprites are also so very cute and irresistible, so by October 5th, you can expect that puppy love will indeed be in the air.
