A New Beginning for the Wii, PC and DS
The Wii, DS, and PC now go environmental-friendly with Daedalic Entertainment’s A New Beginning, one of the new games to be presented in the Leipzig Game’s Conference. This cinematic adventure game promises to deliver an eco-thriller with a compelling storyline: a scientist named Bent Svensson, in a search of alternative energy source meets Fay, a girl from the future out to prevent an environmental disaster.
Players will take control of both characters and will encounter more than 30 colorful characters within the game. A New Beginning’s backdrops are handpainted, and animation is drawn by hand as well. The game will have more than a handful of puzzles as well as some adventurous situations that may spell doom for the two protagonists – and the whole world – if not dealt with properly.
Other games are now adapting environmental themes, and its safe to say that integrating environmental issues in-game is one of the more effective ways to make people – in this case, gamers – aware of what’s happening to Mother Nature.
