A stinging suggestion from Stringer: April Euro PS3 launch
There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding festering from within the very walls of Sony. Sony CEO Howard Stringer was reported to have suggested that the PS3 be launched in Europe on April. News.com quotes him, “We have got the European launch in April, which is very important to us.”
Yes, the launch is important to the European gamers as well, Mr. Stringer. But we don’t think that idea would sit well with them. Thankfully, Sony Europe has commented on this statement and has set the record straight (yet again). Says a spokesperson to GI.biz, “It is not the case that PS3 is launching in April. The date has been and still is March.”
Whew. We don’t think the guys at Europe could handle anymore delays. So please, while it sure is a relief that you’re not taking Mr. Stringer’s suggestion to heart, why don’t you just give us a date already? Oh, and a price cut would probably be nice, too.
