Achievement system spices up Halo 2

halo 2 - Image 1There are regular Halo days when you take as much fire as you give, but there are golden moments when you pump your first Elite full of lead. Then there are days when enemy fire just seems to avoid you and you become the bane of the community for no apparent reason. Those are moments that deserve to live in infamy, and the people at Bungie and Hired Gun realize that.

Introducing the brand-spankin’ new Halo 2 achievement system, where you get recognition for feats that you accomplish for the first time. New players need not be scared, as some of these war medals are designed for those starting out their violent game careers with bragging rights.

The developers admit that adding this new twist to the already classic game was a bit challenging, if not altogether risky. There’s always a threat of messing up what’s not broken when you have the desire to improve and that’s exactly what they avoided.

Featuring achievements in both campaign and multiplayer modes, players can relive the glory of the franchise by playing through the single=player mode and seeing if they can live up to the new challenges. There’s something for everyone, including toughies for the most hardcore vets.

Jump in and go get yourself some and see who has the right for the most bragging rights.
