Activision reveals initial Guitar Hero III playlist

Guitar Hero - Image 1It sure is busy out in Activision‘s front lawn as the company prepares to unleash yet another of their face-melting Guitar Hero title, Guitar Hero III for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360.

So today, we’re here to give you some rockin’ details on Guitar Hero III, and we’re sure this will get you pumped up as your guitar will be modeled after Gibson Guitar’s Les Paul and Kramer models. As for gameplay, there are newly added features and a brand new multiplayer action-inspired battled mode, boss battles that will definitely get your hands sweaty and a whole pack of unlockable content and funky, authentic rock venues to stage your big show.

What’s in the playlist? Activision definitely made sure this one’s going to be a chart-topper, with a cool list of “face-melting awesomeness”. Here’s but a preview of what you’ll get to play:

  • Cherub Rock (Smashing Pumpkins)
  • Sabotage (Beastie Boys)
  • The Metal (Tenacious D)
  • My Name is Jonas (Weesser)

  • Rock and Roll All Nite (as made famous by Kiss)
  • School’s Out (as made famous by Alice Cooper)
  • Slow Ride (as made famous by Fog Hat)
  • Cult of Personality (Living Colour)

Whew, that’s definitely some list, huh? Anyhow, Guitar Hero III has no release date yet, nor has it been rated by the ESRB. But not to worry, we’ll keep you posted on that.
